Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park - Karatu
You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Arusha around 7:30 AM and drive about 2.5 hours to Tarangire National Park. The park is known for its huge elephant herds, open savannah, and scattered baobab trees. You’ll enjoy a game drive, watching for lions, zebras, giraffes, and more. In the afternoon, after a picnic lunch, the group will leave the park and continue to Karatu, a town in the highlands near the Ngorongoro area.

Day 2: Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you’ll drive to the Ngorongoro Crater. You’ll descend into the crater and spend several hours exploring its floor. This natural wonder is packed with wildlife, it’s one of the best places to see the Big Five, especially rhinos, lions, buffalo, and elephants. There are also hippos, flamingos, hyenas, and more. You’ll have a picnic lunch near a hippo pool, then drive back up the crater rim in the afternoon and return to Karatu for the night.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park - Return to Arusha
After breakfast, you’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park, located along the base of the Great Rift Valley. The park is green and scenic, with forests, grassy areas, and the shallow lake itself. You might see flamingos, hippos, monkeys, zebras, and maybe even tree-climbing lions. You’ll enjoy a game drive and a picnic lunch before heading back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon around 4:00-5:00 PM.
