Tanzania Safari Highlights

Itinerary

Join us for a 5-day group sharing safari in Tanzania, where you will experience the rich culture, diverse wildlife, and stunning landscapes of some of the country’s most famous national parks. From the vast Serengeti to the serene Ngorongoro Crater, this adventure offers incredible game drives, breathtaking views, and cultural encounters. Whether you are seeking wildlife, adventure, or a taste of local traditions, this safari promises a perfect blend of all.

Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport in the morning. A warm welcome awaits as our guide escorts you to your hotel in Arusha. After a quick briefing, we head out to the Olpopongi Maasai Village for an authentic cultural experience. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted with Maasai songs and dances. Explore the village as your guide explains the history and daily life of the Maasai people.

You’ll embark on a guided walk through the Maasai territory, where you’ll have the opportunity to spot local wildlife, including giraffes and zebras. Learn about the Maasai’s traditional medicinal plants and the way they live harmoniously with nature. Enjoy a delicious Maasai-style lunch in the village before visiting the Maasai Museum for more insights into their heritage.

The day concludes with a cup of Maasai tea in a traditional hut. We’ll return to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.

After breakfast, our group departs for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most fascinating wildlife destinations. Tarangire is renowned for its impressive herds of elephants, with some of the largest tuskers in Africa. Along the way, enjoy a scenic drive as we head toward the park.

On arrival, we will start a thrilling game drive. The park is also home to large herds of buffalo, giraffes, and wildebeest, while the iconic baobab trees dominate the landscape. Watch out for tree-climbing lions and elusive leopards resting in the branches. After a picnic lunch in the park, we continue the game drive until the late afternoon before heading to the Karatu area for overnight accommodation.

On day 3, we rise early for a hearty breakfast before heading to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most stunning places in the world. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to a unique ecosystem, where wildlife thrives in the crater floor, protected by the caldera’s towering walls.

Upon reaching the crater rim, we will begin our descent into the caldera for a game drive. You’ll have the chance to see all of the “Big Five”—lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos. Other wildlife you might spot includes cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, and flamingos in the lake. After the game drive, we stop for a picnic lunch on the crater floor, surrounded by wildlife.

In the late afternoon, we head back to Karatu for a relaxing dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, we will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife, including flamingos, pelicans, and storks. The park is also home to elephants, giraffes, and baboons.

During the game drive, you will explore different habitats—ranging from lush forests and acacia woodlands to the lake’s shores—allowing you to see a variety of animals. A picnic lunch will be provided in the park. After lunch, we continue the game drive before returning to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

On the final day of your safari, we will drive back to Arusha after breakfast, reflecting on the incredible experiences shared with fellow travelers. Depending on your flight schedule, there may be time for a quick tour of Arusha town or a visit to a local market.

Afterward, we will transfer you to the airport for your departure, marking the end of your unforgettable 5-day Tanzania safari.
