Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our professional safari representative will welcome you and your family to Tanzania. You will then enjoy a private transfer to your luxury lodge in Arusha, where you can settle into your comfortable rooms and relax after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy the lodge's gardens, swimming pool, or other available family facilities.
Later, your safari guide will meet you for a short briefing about the journey ahead. You will learn about the national parks you will visit, the wildlife you may encounter, and what to expect during your game drives. This is also your chance to discuss your children's interests and any special family needs with your guide. Enjoy a delicious dinner and a peaceful night's rest before your safari adventure begins.
After an early breakfast at your lodge, our professional driver-guide will pick you and your family up and drive you to Tarangire National Park. The journey takes approximately 2–3 hours, passing through the beautiful countryside of northern Tanzania before you reach the park entrance.
Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and wildlife that gathers around the Tarangire River, especially during the dry season. Once inside the park, your private game drive begins. Your guide will help you spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and antelopes while explaining how these animals live in the wild. With some luck, you may also see lions resting in the shade or watching their next meal.
Around lunchtime, you will enjoy a bush lunch at a designated picnic site surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness. It is a wonderful opportunity to relax, enjoy your meal, and share the morning's wildlife sightings with your family. After lunch, continue exploring the park before driving to your luxury lodge or tented camp. Settle into your comfortable accommodation, enjoy dinner, and relax after your first exciting day on safari.
Wake up to a delicious breakfast at your lodge before meeting your private driver-guide for the journey to Serengeti National Park. You will travel through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with beautiful views of the highlands and wide-open plains along the way. Your guide will explain the region's wildlife and landscapes and arrange suitable stops where permitted.
As you approach the Serengeti, the landscape opens into vast grasslands dotted with rocky outcrops known as kopjes. These natural formations often provide resting places for lions and other wildlife. The Serengeti is home to large populations of lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, and many other animals. Depending on the season and wildlife movements, you may also encounter herds of wildebeest and zebras moving across the plains.
After entering the park, enjoy a game drive as you make your way through this famous wildlife destination. Your guide will help your family look for animals, explain their behaviour, and answer the children's questions along the way. You will stop for lunch at a designated picnic site before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later, head to your luxury lodge or tented camp, where you can enjoy a warm welcome, a delicious dinner, and a comfortable evening in the heart of the African wilderness.
Enjoy breakfast at your lodge before setting out with your private driver-guide for a full day of wildlife exploration in Serengeti National Park. Having a full day here gives your family more time to explore different areas of the park, follow wildlife sightings, and enjoy the experience without rushing between destinations.
Your guide will take you across the open plains in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and other wildlife. You may spot a cheetah scanning the grasslands for prey or a group of elephants moving slowly across the plains. The Serengeti is also famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration. Depending on the time of year, you may see enormous herds of wildebeest and zebras moving in search of fresh grass and water. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but your guide will use their local knowledge to help you make the most of the day.
At midday, stop for a picnic lunch at a designated site before continuing your game drive in the afternoon. Your guide can also adjust the pace of the experience to suit your family's interests, allowing time to observe animals, take photographs, and enjoy the scenery. If available and suitable for your family's ages, you may choose to arrange an optional hot-air balloon safari at an additional cost.

The following morning, you will descend into the crater for one of the most exciting wildlife experiences of your family safari.

You will descend the steep crater road into a remarkable natural landscape of open grasslands, woodland, wetlands, and a soda lake. The crater supports a rich variety of wildlife within a relatively compact area, giving you an excellent opportunity to see several animal species during one game drive.
As you explore the crater floor, look out for lions resting in the grass, elephants moving through the woodland, buffaloes grazing in open areas, and large groups of zebras and wildebeest. Ngorongoro is also one of the best places in Tanzania to look for the endangered black rhino, although sightings cannot be guaranteed. Your guide will help you identify the animals and explain how they survive in this unique environment. You may also see flamingos and other waterbirds around suitable wetland areas, depending on the season.
Around midday, enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site before continuing your game drive. Take time to appreciate the scenery, photograph the wildlife, and let the children discover more about the natural world around them. After your crater exploration, ascend to the highlands and continue with your onward travel arrangements or return transfer as agreed in your itinerary.
