Duration: 5-6 hours
Your adventure begins with a transfer from Moshi to the Machame Gate (1,800m), the starting point of the Machame Route. Upon
arrival, you'll complete registration before beginning your ascent
through the tropical rainforest. As you trek, you'll pass lush vegetation,
towering trees, and a variety of wildlife, including monkeys and
exotic birds.
The path is well-maintained, though it can be muddy and slippery,
so be sure to wear sturdy footwear. The ascent to Machame Camp (3,000m)
is gradual and takes about 5-6 hours, offering beautiful views as
you go.
This day serves as your first taste of the mountain and an introduction
to its ever-changing environment. After reaching Machame Camp, enjoy
a warm meal, relax, and take in the surroundings.

Once you reach Barafu Camp, you’ll have a chance to rest, hydrate,
