Itinerary
Morning:
You’ll start your adventure early in the morning after breakfast at your lodge. Your guide and armed ranger will brief you about safety and the plan for the day. Then, you’ll begin your walk through the open savannahs and forested paths of Nyerere National Park. You’ll move quietly, following animal tracks and spotting wildlife such as giraffes, impalas, elephants, and various birds. Your guide will teach you about animal behavior, traditional uses of plants, and how to read the bush like a true explorer.
Midday:
By late morning, you’ll reach a beautiful spot by the Rufiji River or under a shaded tree where you’ll take a break for a picnic lunch. Enjoy your meal surrounded by stunning views and the calming sounds of nature. You can relax, take photos, and watch animals coming to drink at the river.
Afternoon:
After lunch, you’ll start your return walk toward the park gate or meeting point. On your way back, you’ll have the option to enjoy a short game drive to cover more ground and spot animals that you may have missed earlier. Later, you’ll be driven back to your lodge for some rest and a cold drink as you reflect on your incredible day in the wild.
