Trip Overview

This full-day tour to Arusha National Park is a great choice if you want a short and relaxed safari experience without traveling far. The park is only 45 minutes from Arusha town, which makes it ideal for travelers with limited time. It's small but very beautiful, with green forests, lakes, waterfalls, and open grassy areas. You won’t find lions here, so it’s safe to do guided walking safaris, a special chance to explore on foot, close to animals.

You’ll see giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, monkeys, warthogs, flamingos, and many colorful birds. If the sky is clear, you might even see Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. You can also choose to go canoeing on a peaceful lake, which is very romantic and relaxing. With a mix of driving, walking, and maybe even floating on the water, this trip is a fun, safe, and easy way to enjoy Tanzania’s nature in just one day.

Itinerary:

07:30 AM – Pick-up from your hotel
Your friendly safari guide will pick you up at your hotel in Arusha. After a short 45-minute drive, you’ll arrive at Arusha National Park.

09:00 AM – Game drive and walking safari
You’ll start with a short drive to spot animals. Then enjoy a guided walk with a park ranger, where you may see giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and birds up close, safely and quietly.

12:30 PM – Picnic lunch at the lakes
You’ll stop at Momella Lakes to enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by nature. Watch for flamingos and enjoy the fresh air and open space.

02:00 PM – Optional canoeing on the lake
If you choose, you can take a peaceful canoe ride on one of the lakes (extra cost). It’s calm, romantic, and a beautiful way to see the park from the water.

03:30 PM – Final game drive
After your break, you’ll take a short drive around the park to look for more animals.

05:00 PM – Return to Arusha
Your guide will take you back to your hotel, ending a refreshing day in nature.
