Starting with a relaxing arrival day in Arusha, you'll then explore the wildlife-rich Tarangire National Park, famous for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. The adventure continues with a day in Lake Manyara National Park, home to tree-climbing lions and flocks of flamingos.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport, you will be met by your safari representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the lodge or explore the town at your leisure. This is a great time to rest and prepare for your safari adventure starting the next day.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant population, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park, spotting lions, zebras, giraffes, and many bird species. You’ll stop for a picnic lunch inside the park. Later in the afternoon, transfer to your lodge near Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Karatu to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, drive to nearby Lake Manyara National Park for a day of game viewing. The park is known for its lush forests, soda lake filled with flamingos, and the chance to see tree-climbing lions. You’ll also spot hippos, baboons, elephants, and a wide variety of birdlife. Return to your lodge in Karatu in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Start the day early with breakfast, then head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the crater for a half-day safari in one of the world’s most unique ecosystems. Here, you may spot the Big Five, including black rhinos, lions, and buffaloes. After a scenic picnic lunch in the crater, ascend and return to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
