5 Days Serengeti Group Safari with Mid-Range Lodges Itinerary:
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your guide will pick you up from Arusha and drive you to Tarangire National Park. Once you enter the park, your safari begins with a game drive through an area known for its large elephant herds, beautiful baobab trees and open landscapes. During the game drive, you can expect to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, antelopes and, if you are lucky, lions. Your experienced guide will take you to the best areas for wildlife viewing and share interesting information about the animals and the park. Later in the afternoon, your guide will drive you to your lodge where you can relax, enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, your guide will drive you from Tarangire towards the famous Serengeti National Park. After entering the Serengeti, you will begin your game drive while heading towards your lodge or camp. You may see wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, elephants and different types of antelope along the way. Your guide will also keep an eye out for predators. With some luck, you may see lions resting in the grass or cheetahs watching the open plains. In the evening, you will arrive at your accommodation, enjoy dinner and relax after a full day of safari.

Day 3: Full-Day Serengeti Safari
Today, you will spend a full day exploring the Serengeti. After breakfast, your guide will take you out for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. The Serengeti offers a different experience every day. During the game drive, you may see large herds of wildebeest and zebras, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, hippos and many other animals. Your guide will also search for predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards. Depending on the season and wildlife movements, your guide will choose the best areas to explore. If you are travelling during the Great Migration, the game drive can be planned around the areas where the herds are moving. You will have a picnic lunch in the park before continuing the game drive. In the late afternoon, your guide will take you back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Your guide will look for lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeest and other wildlife as you make your way out of the Serengeti. You will then continue towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. As you approach the crater area, the landscape becomes cooler and greener, giving you a completely different view of northern Tanzania. In the evening, your guide will take you to your lodge where you can relax, enjoy dinner and prepare for the next day's Ngorongoro Crater experience.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

During the game drive, you may see lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and many bird species. Your guide will also take you through different parts of the crater so you can enjoy its beautiful landscapes, open grasslands, forests and lake. After the game drive, you will leave the crater and have lunch before starting your journey back to Arusha. Your guide will drop you off in Arusha in the afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your 5-day Serengeti group safari.
