Day 1: Nairobi → Samburu + Afternoon Game Drive

Your adventure begins with an early pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or airport. Meet your professional family-friendly safari guide and begin the scenic drive north. Along the way, you’ll enjoy views of Mount Kenya, lush highlands, and changing landscapes as you enter the arid Samburu region. Upon arrival, check into your comfortable lodge or tented camp and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive across Samburu’s dramatic terrain. Look out for elephants, lions, cheetahs, and the unique “Samburu Special Five.” Return to the lodge for dinner, storytelling, and relaxation. Many lodges offer child-friendly pools and activities.
