Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha early in the morning. After about a 2-hour drive, you’ll arrive at Tarangire National Park. The park is famous for its large elephant herds and huge baobab trees. You’ll enjoy a game drive searching for elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, and many birds. A picnic lunch will be served in the park while you enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

In the late afternoon, you’ll drive to a nearby campsite where your tents will be ready. You’ll have time to freshen up before sitting down to a hot dinner prepared by your safari chef. Spend the night in your comfortable dome tent, surrounded by nature sounds.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha

After an early breakfast at camp, you will leave Tarangire and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From the crater rim, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Here you can see a wide variety of animals including lions, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, and if lucky, rhinos. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool inside the crater. After your game drive, you’ll start the drive back to Arusha, where you will arrive by late afternoon. The safari ends with a drop-off at your hotel.
