Day Trip Tour.

Your day begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha. After a scenic drive, you will arrive at Marangu Gate (1,860m), the official entry point of Kilimanjaro National Park. Here you will complete registration and meet your experienced mountain guide who will brief you about the trek ahead.

From the gate, you will start hiking through Kilimanjaro’s lush rainforest. The trail is shaded by towering trees draped with moss and filled with the sounds of birdlife. Along the way, you may encounter playful colobus monkeys, blue monkeys, and a variety of forest animals that make this walk truly memorable.

After approximately 3–4 hours of trekking, you will reach Mandara Huts (2,720m), where climbers usually spend their first night on the Marangu Route. Here, you will enjoy a well-prepared picnic lunch in the tranquil forest environment. If time allows, you may also take a short walk to Maundi Crater, which offers stunning views of Mawenzi Peak and even across into Kenya on clear days.

In the afternoon, you will begin your descent back through the same rainforest trail. The return journey usually takes 2–3 hours before arriving at Marangu Gate, where your driver will be waiting. You will then be transferred back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha, arriving in the evening after a rewarding day on the slopes of Kilimanjaro.
