Detailed 6-Day Tanzania Cultural & Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania!

We welcome you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. After a brief orientation, you can relax and prepare for the cultural journey ahead.

Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara – Maasai Village Visit

After breakfast, we drive to Lake Manyara region and visit a traditional Maasai village. Join the community in their daily chores, learn how to bead with Maasai women, and hear fascinating stories of their warrior traditions.
Later in the day, take a nature walk or an optional short game drive in Lake Manyara National Park.

Day 3: Lake Manyara to Lake Eyasi – Hadzabe & Datoga Tribes

We depart early for Lake Eyasi, a remote area where the Hadzabe Bushmen live. You’ll join them in a morning hunt using bows and arrows, gaining insight into their hunter-gatherer lifestyle.
Afterward, meet the Datoga tribe, skilled blacksmiths, and see how they forge tools and ornaments using traditional techniques.

Day 4: Lake Eyasi to Ngorongoro Highlands – Scenic Drive

We take a scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Highlands, stopping along the way to enjoy breathtaking views and rural life. You’ll visit a local school or women’s cooperative (optional) before settling into your lodge for a relaxing evening.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Big Five Game Drive
